Who is That Alt Mom?

Bonjour friends,

Some of you may know me from my Instagram page, if you don’t, it’s okay, here’s a quick introduction.

My name is Pauline, I’m a 36 year old mom (hence the username). I’m originally from France, but have moves to the US 10 years ago. I have been married for close to 7 years and had a baby boy in 2023.

For the past few months, the focus of my content has been alternative fashion. I consider myself an ‘elder emo’ and I think it shows in the way I dress. It is definitely obvious from the music I listen to, which I sometimes showcase in my content (in feed and in stories). Lately though, I have been feeling an itch to share about more. Some of my favorite creators talk about a bunch of different topics and I simply feel like that is who I am as well.

So what can you expect here?
Well fashion content of course, from recent finds, to wishlist items and outfit inspiration, but also other aspects of what makes me happy. I want to share more home content (and in a poll in my stories today, it seems like you guys are interested as well). I want my home to reflect more of who I am, because as of now, it doesn’t and it affects how I feel about it. I also want to create little moments that are special for my son and our family overall. I think it’s normal as a mom to want him to have the happiest childhood possible with traditions and fond memories. I want our home to be a safe space for all of us.

My goal is to inspire women (mom or not) to be themselves and be happy through fashion, motherhood and more. So basically, there’s going to be a little of everything, and I hope you’ll follow along.
